We had a pleasant stay at this hotel: stunning location and nice staff. There were a sofa bed, a stone fireplace, and central heating in the rooms, which made them big and cosy. Location: the property was really close to the grounds around the lodge and British Camp...

The single room with a garden view was fantastic. Having a bathtub in the private bathroom was a great bonus 🛁. the location right in the heart of the city was both impressive and peaceful.

my second stay here was even better than the first - such a cosy cabin, delicious breakfasts, and friendly hosts. The animals were a joy to be around, especially the cheeky cat. Can't wait to come back and maybe try out Meerkat Manor next time. Thank you!

The breakfast was to die for, with the freshest scrambled eggs from happy chickens. The lodge was cozy and the hosts were attentive and friendly.
Oh, just a minor detail, the mattress was a bit too bouncy for my taste. but I guess that added some excitement to my sleep.

the hosts, Bernie and Alex, were extremely welcoming and attentive. the breakfast hampers delivered to my door each morning were fantastic, like a little Christmas surprise to start the day. the lodge was cozy and well-equipped, complete with a dressing gown to keep warm. But the highlight for me were the animals - the chickens, ducks, and other rescue animals kept me amused and provided a sense of tranquility. it was a perfect haven for a retreat. Cons: Nothing not to like! .

Never regret staying here, I keep coming back. Lost my ID card once and staff helped find it. Has everything I need: Wi-Fi, parking, restaurant, picnic area, laundry. Flat-screen TV, express check-in/out, in-room breakfast. Perfect for me. Coming back for Christmas.

This cozy retreat in the countryside offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a wood stove, comfy bed, and delicious meal options. the breakfast hampers are like a Christmas surprise each morning. the cabin is well-equipped with a chemical loo and shower cabin, and the hosts take care to ensure the tanks are filled. the grounds are filled with adorable rescue animals, including ducks, cats, and donkeys, providing a joyful and relaxing experience. A perfect hideaway for solo travelers seeking tranquility and nature.
The bus stop is a bit far, around 1.6 miles away, making transportation a bit inconvenient.

I recently stayed at Hedgehog Lodge Retreat for a weekend getaway. The room was charming and comfortable, giving me complete privacy and a little piece of paradise. One of the highlights was the fantastic breakfast hamper that was delivered to my door each morning. Bernie and Alex, the amazing hosts, made me feel extremely welcome. The lodge itself was well-equipped and I loved watching the chickens, ducks, and other animals on the grounds. it was a perfect haven for a relaxing stay.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
